The Wellington Carnegie Public Library provided the perfect backdrop for the community to gather and witness the solar eclipse together. For weeks, the library staff had meticulously planned for the event, and their vision came to fruition in spectacular fashion.

WMS Celebrates Solar Eclipse Day
The sixth grade students and staff at the Wellington Middle School celebrated the solar eclipse on April 8th with moon pies and “orbit” races while observing the eclipse through their solar viewing glasses As the sky darkened and shadows fell on the WMS track, students gathered in groups with their friends to witness the spectacle.

WHS Softball Wins Triangular
The Wellington softball team picked up their first two wins of the season last week as they defeated Ark City and Buhler. “The girls played great,” said head coach Hannah Lawlis.
