Pace sweeps team titles at district weightlifting meet as road to state begins

Shawn Morgan didn’t win a state championship a year ago, taking third in Olympic and traditional at the RP Funding Center in Lakeland.
But he’s on a mission to close out his senior year at Pace with a title, and he took the next big step toward doing that Monday at the District 1-3A meet in Navarre, winning titles in both categories in the 119 lbs. weight class.
