Santa Rosa County Dispatch Center received 62 automatic crash notifications from January 1 to April 12.
In 2022, Apple unveiled the iPhone 14, highlighted by a new feature that detects car crashes and calls for emergency response. While this alert has been heralded for saving lives, it has also prompted unneeded and unsolicited responses from first responders when a notification is sent erroneously.

Pace, Milton, Navarre once again among the best at state weightlifting meet

Santa Rosa County did not disappoint at the 3A state boys weightlifting meet Friday afternoon at the RP Funding Center in Lakeland.
Pace claimed the Olympic and traditional titles, while Milton was the state runner-up in Olympic and traditional. Navarre earned a share of the traditional title as well.
